I sincerely have no idea where this “Richard is dead” talk is coming from. No, really, the thought didn’t even cross my mind when I was watching the episode. richard isn't killable, we all know that. he'll likely pop up in the finale, and either ask jack to keep him there, let him go, or kill him. you don't dedicate this much time to a character just to "kill" him like that.
